The Conditons of Preparation of Secondary School Graduates to the German Philology Studies

The Study "The Conditions of Preparation of Secondary School Graduates to the German Philology Studies" is an attempt to analyse the conditions in which the secondary school graduates prepared themselves for the studies at the faculty of German Philology in the years 1990-1994 and in 1998. Also an effort has been made to define the needs and opportu-nities which may be attributed to the current changes in the Polish secondary schools teach-ing programs. The results of the research carried out may be found useful by textbook writers, devel-opers of teaching programs, as well as teachers, in that they indicate the needs of the secon-dary school students relating to foreign language teaching and outline the requirements of the Universities at the entrance examinations for the German Philology studies.
