Since the first issue of Rocznik Astronomiczny Obserwatorium Krakowskiego in 1922, the primary purpose of the publication has not changed. It still stimulates the observations of eclipsing binaries and RR Lyrae type variables with period changes or ither pecularities in their light curves. SAC contains a list of selected eclipsing binary stars giving their current light elements determined on the basis of minima from Cracow Database of Times of Minima as well as a similar list of elements for RR Lyrae stars. For some of the eclipsing binaries the additional support the proposed modification of light elements. Previously the detailed ephemerides of time of minima (eclipsing binaries) or maxima (RR Lyrae type stars) of each of these stars for each day of the year were also included. However, due to ever increasing availability of computers nowadays, precomputed tables of minima for individual nights are no longer widely needed. So it has been decided to remove them from the publication beginning with SAC 68.
