St. Augustine s letter to Fabiola
This brief book contains a translation into Polish of St. Augustine s letter to Fabiola. A real sensation of the last decades of the 20th century in the field of patrology was the discovery of several dozen of letter by Aurelius Augustine (354-439 A.D.). They were found and then published by an Austrian philologist, Johannes Divjak. And of particular interest is letter twenty (Ep, 20*, Ad Fabiolam). In this letter St. Augustine presented a complex and difficult problem of the Bishop of Fussala, Antoninus to a rich and influential Roman woman, Fabiola, who was a Christian. This letter is an extremely interesting source for studies of the history of the Church in Roman Africa in the first half of the fifth century A.D.
