The Historical Museum of the City of Kraków would like to present a multimedia publication dedicated to the history of Kraków between years 1939–1945. The presentation includes unique pictures and documents showing armed hostilities and everyday life of Polish people, Jews and Germans between the time when German army invaded Kraków and the offensive of the Soviet Army. The presentation includes numerous commentaries. One of the chapters was dedicated to the history of the Silesian House. At the beginning there was a hostel and tourist dormitory for the Silesian youth. During the War the house was occupied by Germans. Currently in the house there is one of the museum’s branches.
