Monografia poświęcona problematyce "twórczości na wygnaniu". Losy emigracyjnych pisarzy kubańskich - Sarduya, Caseya i Avenasa - przedstawione zostały na szerokim tle uwarunkowań kulturowo-literacko-estetycznych. Autorka odwołuje się zarówno do kategorii filozoficznych i estetycznych cywilizacji europejskiej, jak i do tych, które w procesie przenikania się elementów kulturowych właściwych synkretyzmowi karaibskiemu koncentrują uwagę czytelnika na znaczeniu wpływów kultur dalekich od tradycji europejskiej, które jednak w owym synkretyzmie i w odniesieniu do twórczości omawianych pisarzy odegrały rolę znaczącą (Afryka, Indie). Pozwala to lepiej zrozumieć fenomen "Kubańczyków na wygnaniu", czyli diaspory kubańskiej lat 60. ubiegłego wieku.
Discourse in exile, discourse on exile. Three voices of the Cuban Diaspora: Sarduy, Casey, Arenas
This monograph is dedicated to the problems of "writing in exile". The fates of three emigrant Cuban writers - Sarduy, Casey and Arenas - were presented against a broad background of cultural-literary and aesthetic conditions. The author refers both to the philosophical categories as well as aesthetic ones of the European civilization. The author also refers to these ones which in the process of permeation of cultural elements proper to the Carribean syncretism draw the reader` s attention to the significance of influences of cultures which are far away from the European culture which in this syncretism and in reference to the writings of the above mentioned writers, however, played an important role (Africa, India, China). In this context, the autobiographical situation as well as its literary projection allow to better understand the phenomenon of "Cuban people in exile", i.e. the so called Cuban Diaspora of the 80s.
