The articles coilected in this vo!ume approach the complex issues of borders, borderlands and borderland identities from multiple vantage points, by deploying vanous methodo-ogies and criticai perspectives, although they do not purport to offer a comprenensive overview of scholarship on the topie. Rather, the texts expiore points of convergence between emerging academic reflection, events of globai h i story, and personal experience.
