This volume is an outcome of the 11th international seminar periodically organized by scholars and students of four universities from the neighbouring countries: University of Wrocław and Jagiellonian University from Poland and Ruhr-University (Bochum) and European University "Viadrina" (Frankfurt an der Oder) from Germany. The seminar was devoted to the problems connected with the architecture of peace and security in Europe. It took place in Opolnica (nearby Bardo Śląskie) in Poland and was organized by the Chair of International and European Law of Wrocław University.
